Seeing The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall

This weekend my family & friends visited my wife and I at my home. I took my grandchildren to see The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall in Parkersburg, WV. I participated in the memorial ceremonies and then the hole watch to guard the memorial. Most of all I visited my many Marine Corps friends who died in Vietnam. When thinking about them I become overwhelmed. The best quote I can think of is "I cannot give enough for these who have given more". The ones on the wall have given more. Being blind is easy I don't have to look at anything ugly, I lived through Vietnam with a little bit of luck. I can still party, exercise, be educated and have a sex life. The ones on the wall can't do any of that.

Disabled former Marine, David Huffman visits the Wall, memorializing his fellow marines who died in combat with Mike Co. 3/7 1st Marine Div. in 1968 fighting against communism in Vietnam. He wonders how they would feel seeing marxism in the form of communism, socialism or fascism being pushed through the doors of congress and the White House. Would these marines roll over in their graves with concern about the loss of freedom and the potential of tyranny in the future?

I was honored to meet Glenn Beck at his book signing and rally at the Villages in Lady Lake, Florida Saturday November 21, 2009. I admire Glenn Beck's courage. I wish everyone in America would have his passion and courage about preserving our republic. Without this kind of passion and courage exemplified by Glenn Beck, the Marxist will sadly defeat our republic. I will stand with Glenn Beck and everyone like him who believes in the American constitution
Disabled former marine, David Huffman stands in front of the White House wondering if that beacon of freedom will become a symbol of the tyranny of America through the shams of global warming, Cap & Trade, and fraudulent socialized medicine. Causing economic death to an economy built on individual rights; replaced by an economy where individual's daily lives are controlled by the federal government through tyranny.
